The 2025 WFP Finals wrapped up yesterday, marking the end of the inaugural season. James Sprague and Laura Horvath were crowned the champions and 20 men and 20 women earned their Pro Card for next year.
But at the end of the podium ceremony, it was announced that the 2026 WFP Finals will be returning to Copenhagen, Denmark.Â
Throughout the weekend it was rumored that the 2026 WFP schedule would be announced very soon, possibly during the weekend. Obviously, that was not the case, but we do now know where the Finals will be. However, they did not announce the dates of the Finals.
Additionally, we don’t yet know when or where the other Tour Stops will be. In a previous podcast with Roger Gillros, the 2026 Tour Stop 1 was supposed to be in Mallorca the last weekend of March.
However, with the 2026 CrossFit Quarterfinals that weekend, it appeared that the WFP might be working on a contingency plan.
All of the talk and previews about the 2026 WFP Season was that another tour stop was going to be added, making three Tour Stops and the WFP Finals. Yet, more rumors have been circulating that adding an extra stop may be scratched after athletes struggled with the higher competitive workload.
So while we know that Copenhagen will host the Finals, we are stuck waiting on the rest of the schedule. But stay tuned as it should be announced any day now…
