Alexis Raptis Withdraws from Rogue Invitational; Dani Speegle Receives Backfill Invite

The women’s field at the 2024 Rogue Invitational looks a little different today. After reporting that Roman Khrennikov withdrew from the men’s field, Alexis Raptis has also withdrawn. Filling in for Raptis will be Dani Speegle.

Raptis was originally in the 20-woman field as she was officially announced by Rogue on September 20. It is the second consecutive year that Raptis has withdrawn from the Rogue Invitational in the month leading up to the competition.

Last year Raptis declined her invite due to Colitis.

In the recent Buttery Bros video at the TYR Cup, Raptis shares that she had been eating out a lot and implied that she might be experiencing similar digestive symptoms. However, it has not been confirmed that this is why Raptis has elected to not compete at the Rogue Invitational.

Stepping in for Raptis will be Dani Speegle. Dani has competed at the Rogue Invitational the last two years. Last year she qualified via the online qualifier.

Speegle has finished 12th and 9th overall in 2022 and 2023, respectively.
