While Danielle Brandon sits atop the leaderboard at the Rogue Invitational, news came out that she will be joining Andrea Nisler and Taylor Williamson from Mayhem Freedom to compete as a team at Wodapalooza this January.
Nisler and Williamson received an invite to compete in the Wodapalooza team competition without having to do the online qualifier after winning the CrossFit Games team competition.
Wodapalooza allows the top 10 teams at the 2022 CrossFit Games to bypass the qualifier and create a men’s and women’s team of 3. In this case, Nisler and Williamson are from Mayhem Freedom and will be joined by Brandon. Brandon finished 4th at this year’s CrossFit Games.
With this announcement, these three are poised to be one of the favorites heading into the competition this January. However, Wodapalooza also allows any two (or three) athletes who competed at the 2022 CrossFit Games as an individual to form a team. Could we see Tia-Clair Toomey, Brooke Wells and Ellie Turner at Wodapalooza after they compete at the Down Under Championship next month?
