Elite Individuals & Teams Will Face Cut Before Final Event at Wodapalooza

This year’s new two-day format at Wodapalooza has already changed things up for the elite athletes. With the elite individuals competing on Thursday and Friday, it allows them to also compete in the elite team division on Saturday and Sunday. But it looks like this year will also feature something new…cuts.

In the athlete package provided to those competing, both the elite individuals and teams will have cuts after Event 5. The top 20 individuals and top 10 teams will advance to compete in Event 6, the final event for both divisions.

The cuts, however, do not apply to any other division. So for all the RX, intermediate, scaled, age group and adaptive divisions there will not be any cuts.

And while the new format appears to be a success from getting many of the top athletes in the sport to compete at this year’s TYR Wodapalooza, it sounds like not everyone is happy with the news that there will be a cut before the final event. Give Jason CF Media’s video a watch below to hear what some athletes have told him.
