Haley Adams is one of the 20 women who have signed Pro contracts with the World Fitness Project. However, Adams has yet to step onto the competition floor this year. The WFP just announced that Adams has withdrawn from the WFP Tour Stop 2 this weekend.
In the press release published by the WFP, a reason for Haley’s withdrawal was not given. This is in contrast to Adler’s press release that said it was due to injury. Heck, Adams’ press release didn’t even include a quote from Will Moorad or Jackson Terry.
With Adams not competing again (more on this below), Linda Keesman will backfill Adams’ spot in the Pro division. Elena Pomarici, who finished 38th in the online qualifier, will take Keesman’s spot in the Challenger division.
This is Adams’ second withdrawal in as many events. Adams withdrew from Tour Stop 1 in Indianapolis earlier this year due to illness.
Yet despite not competing once this year, Adams can still compete in the WFP Finals this December in Copenhagen, Denmark. But Adams will have a lot of work to do if she intends to retain her Pro card for the 2026 season. Because she has not competed yet, she would enter the WFP Finals with zero points.
Adams is coming off a 19th place finish at the 2025 CrossFit Games earlier this month.
The WFP Tour Stop 2 is August 29-31 in Mesa, Arizona, at the Arizona Athletic Grounds.
Adams joins the following Pro card athletes who will not be competing this weekend: Jeff Adler, Alex Gazan, Bethany Flores and Emma McQuaid.
