- Over the weekend Reps Ahead hosted its fifth pro competition, named as such…”Pro 5″. But rather than single head-to-head match-ups, Reps Ahead Pro 5 featured a four-athlete single-elimination style tournament. Four men and four women took the floor Saturday in the Semifinals before the winners met in the championship match Sunday night.
After a couple last minute line-up changes, Saturdays match-ups were the following:
Tudor Magda vs Cole Greashaber
James Sprague vs Malachi Bennett
Trista Smith vs Zoe Warren
Arielle Loewen vs Rachel Noel
Cole Greashaber and James Sprague would wind up victorious on Saturday on the men’s side along with Trista Smith and Arielle Loewen for the women.
SUNDAY
On Sunday, the losers from Saturday kicked it off in the 3rd place matches. On the women’s side Rachel Noel squared off against Kelly Stone, who stepped in for Zoe Warren. Noel would go on to win and take 3rd place.
On the men’s side, Tudor Magda sprinted off against Malachi Bennett and was able to reach 14 reps ahead to win the match.
In the finals, James Sprague didn’t hold back and was able to win in Round 2 over Cole Greashaber. On the women’s side, it was a close match through Round 2, but Arielle Loewen pulled away in the third round to knock out Trista Smith.
Sprague and Loewen each earned $7,000 for their victories.
Greashaber and Smith both walked away with $2,000 for taking 2nd place. And Noel and Magda took home $1,000 for finishing in 3rd place.
