The 2024 TYR Wodapalooza will host the first ever LatAm Cup this January. The best athletes from Latin America have been invited to Miami after finishing at the top of the leaderboard in one of eight competitions in Latin America earlier this year.
These competitions were hosted throughout the region from Mexico to as far south as Argentina. The top 1 or 2 athletes, depending on the competition, received an invite to compete in this year’s inaugural LatAm Cup.
The first competition was in Santiago, Chile, this past June and July while the Argentina Throwdown in Buenos Aires this past weekend wrapped up the qualifying competitions. Athletes from the first five competitions listed below have officially accepted their invitations.
The last three qualifying competitions (FitGames, WODFest Costa Rica and Argentina Throwdown) were the first two weekends in December. Thus, the top athletes have yet to be officially announced. Those athletes are denoted by an asterisk (*) below.

In total, 13 athletes will be invited to compete at the 2024 TYR Wodapalooza this January. They will take the competition floor on Thursday and Friday (January 11-12). Athletes will compete with the same weights as the Rx division and will have a separate leaderboard.
The field includes three individual CrossFit Games veterans (Sasha Nievas, Vera Valdez and, if he accepts his invite, Agustin Richelme). The line-up also includes athletes who have competed on a team or in the Masters division at the CrossFit Games.
The podium finishers at the 2024 LatAm Cup will take home up to $6,000. The payouts are as follows:
1st place: $6,000
2nd place: $4,000
3rd place: $2,000
