Luka Đukić Returns to Competition This Weekend at Belgrade Games

Luka Đukić will step onto the competition floor this weekend for the first time since the tragic death of his brother, Lazar, at the 2024 CrossFit Games in August. The 2024 Belgrade Games, originally scheduled for September 6-8, were postponed to this weekend following Lazar’s death.

Now, three months after the CrossFit Games, the Belgrade Games are set to remember and honor Lazar. With that, Luka will be on the competition floor. He will be joined by fellow Games veterans including Moritz Fiebig, Elisa Fuliano, Bronislaw Olenkowicz, Jacqueline Dahlstrom, Matilde Garnes and Camille Salomonsson Hellman. 

There are 37 men and 14 women who will competing in the elite individual divisions. Among the other divisions, there are 325 athletes slated to compete this weekend.

Belgrade is the capital and the largest city in Serbia, the home country of the Đukić brothers. It is anticipated to be an emotional weekend for those competing and those in attendance.
