McQuaid, Dahlstrom & Sigurdardottir are Heading to Wodapalooza as Team GOWOD

Another elite team for this year’s Wodapalooza has been announced. This time with a European flair. Emma McQuaid, Jacqueline Dahlstrom and Sola Sigurdardottir will be teammates this January in Miami.

The three will be competing as Team GOWOD in the women’s elite team division and adds to the already strong field of athletes committed to the team competition this year.

All three women are CrossFit Games veterans and were at the 2022 CrossFit Games. McQuaid is from Ireland and is a four-time Games athlete with her best finish the past two years where she finished 12th overall. This offseason McQuaid competed at the Rogue Invitational and also set three Irish National Weightlifting records last month.

Dahlstrom hails from Norway and has been to the Games three times. Her best finish was this past year where she took 15th. Dahlstrom was also on the competition floor at the Rogue Invitational this offseason.

Sigurdardottir is from Iceland and made her first appearance at the Games as an individual this past year where she finished 34th. Prior to that, Sigurdardottir competed on a team at the Games in 2016 and 2017. Sigurdardottir competed at the Zelos Games’ live showcase competition last month.

The announcement comes just a few days after Brooke Wells, Kristi O’Connell and Amanda Barnhart revealed they will be on a team this year.
