It feels a little like déjà vu. For the second consecutive year Saxon Panchik has received a backfill invite to compete at the Rogue Invitational. Panchik will be taking Justin Medeiros’ spot as anticipated after Medeiros’ motorcycle accident last week.
Panchik received the invite by his position on the Rogue Points System. Panchik currently sits in 20th place and received the invite over Reggie Fasa, who was next in line via The Q.
Last year Panchik received a backfill invite after Dallin Pepper withdrew with rhabdo following Wodapalooza SoCal.
Panchik is now the fourth male athlete to receive a backfill invite due to injuries this year.
