Dallin Pepper Out, Saxon Panchik In for 2025 Rogue Invitational

Rogue has announced that Saxon Panchik will be competing at the 2025 Rogue Invitational. Panchik received a backfill invite for Dallin Pepper, who is no longer listed on the athlete roster on the Rogue Invitational website.

Panchik finished 3rd in the online qualifier, missing out on qualifying by one spot (Panchik was in first prior to video review but was assessed a penalty). However, with Pepper withdrawing, Panchik was next in line for the backfill invite.

Earlier this month it was announced that Harry Lightfoot was stepping in for Noah Ohlsen.

For Panchik, it is his first in-person competition since stepping away from competing earlier this year to work for the World Fitness Project. However, he left the WFP a few months ago and threw his hat into the ring for the Rogue Invitational.

In speaking with Pepper, he told The Barbell Spin that he suffered rhabdomyolysis from the monostructural event (aka the 50-cal bike sprint) on Sunday at the TYR Cup. The diagnosis was confirmed by bloodwork and his doctor advised against competing next weekend. Pepper added that he is bummed that he won’t be on the competition floor in Scotland, but is making his long-term health a priority.

Pepper has competed at the Rogue Invitational the past two years where he finished 8th in 2023 and 5th in 2024.

The 2025 Rogue Invitational is October 31 through November 2 in Aberdeen, Scotland.
