Video Review Penalties Shake up Rogue Invitational’s Online Qualifier Leaderboard (Again)

The video review process is complete for the 2024 Rogue Invitational online qualifier. And just like previous years, the video review process has massively impacted the leaderboard. Of the top 5 men and women on the unofficial leaderboard, three men and one woman were penalized and now are outside the top 5 on the finalized leaderboard.

Tudor Magda, Cole Greashaber, Travon Benton and Jamie Simmonds all had scores adjusted during the video review process. All four are now outside the top 5 of the online qualifier and are not guaranteed an invite to the Rogue Invitational in Scotland.

Those who jumped into the top 5 are Sam Cournoyer, Gui Malheiros (LUIS GUILHERME DE JESUS MALHEIROS NUNES on the leaderboard), Henrik Haapalainen and Tayla Howe.

Tudor Magda fell all the way from 2nd to 26th after it appears his 1st and 4th workouts had scoring adjustments.

Cole Greashaber received a 2:13 scoring adjustment on Workout 1 and a 5 second scoring adjustment on Workout 2. He dropped down to 6th place, just one point shy of Jorge Fernandez in 5th place.

Travon Benton received a 93-rep adjustment on Workout 4 and is now down in 13th place on the online qualifier leaderboard.

On the women’s side, only one athlete, Jamie Simmonds, dropped from the unofficial top 5. Simmonds’ Workout 4 score was originally 648 reps, the top score on the women’s leaderboard. However, after video review her score was adjusted to 551 reps, a 97-rep penalty.

The penalty dropped her down to 7th place.

Tayla Howe was the beneficiary of Simmonds’ penalty. She leapfrogged Dana Paran who received a 6-rep penalty on Workout 6. Had Paran’s 542 reps stood, Paran would have been in 5th place overall. However, Rogue has invited both Howe and Paran to compete in Scotloand.

Manon Angonese, Sydney Wells, Taylor Williamson and Emma Tall all remained in the top 5 following the video review. Wells and Williamson both received one minor penalty each, but it was not enough to bump them down the leaderboard.
