2024 CrossFit Games are Headed to Fort Worth, Texas

It’s official! The 2024 CrossFit Games will be in Fort Worth, Texas. In a press release by CrossFit, the Games will be hosted at Dickies Arena from August 8-11, 2024.

“Fort Worth is a proven, easily accessible destination for high-profile events, and we’re excited to add to the growing number of sports and entertainment options at the state-of-the-art Dickies Arena,” said Don Faul, CEO of CrossFit. “The 2024 Games will be anchored at the facility, giving our fans, athletes, partners, and the incredibly strong Texas affiliate community new opportunities to have the experience of a lifetime. Love of sport is in the DNA of most Texans, and we can’t think of a more enthusiastic audience for the Games.”

The venue location comes after CrossFit shared that it would not be coming back to Madison next year in the days leading up to the CrossFit Games.

Fort Worth will mark the fourth location to host the CrossFit Games. The Ranch in Aromas, CA, held the CrossFit Games from 2007-2009 followed by Carson, CA, from 2010-2016. Then, in 2017, the Games moved to Madison, WI, where they continued through this past year (except they were back in Aromas for the 2020 Games).

“Having a new look and a new venue in a new city will allow us to continue to grow, and that’s what’s needed for the future of our sport,” said Dave Castro, General Manager of Sport and Education at CrossFit. “The move to Fort Worth is the first step for where we want to take the CrossFit Games. Just as we expect our athletes to adjust during competition, we’ll need to do the same as we rethink our execution so that we can bring the Games to not only more cities in the United States, but also consider expansion overseas.”

The location of the Games appears to be just one piece of information expected to come out regarding the 2024 CrossFit Games. The press release also stated that this is the first of an upcoming series of announcements…so stay tuned.
