This year the prize money for the CrossFit Games season was based on participation in the CrossFit Open. While the official count was not published, I was able to back into the total number of registrations after the Open payouts were announced.
As such, the total prize purse for individuals and teams competing in Albany, New York, is $1,445,202. This amount includes $60,000 for event wins that is over and above the amounts outlined in the rulebook from Open participation.
