CrossFit may be facing unexpected challenges with ticket sales for the 2025 CrossFit Games.
In its first year in Albany, New York, tickets for the CrossFit Games remain available more than 24 hours after going on sale to the general public. This is in stark contrast to last year where Arena tickets to Dickies Arena in Ft. Worth, Texas, sold out in less than a day.
A look at Ticketmaster shows very few of the approximately 12,500 seats have been sold. This comes after presale opportunities opened two weeks ago for previous ticket holders and CrossFit affiliate owners.
An Arena Ticket Package to the 2025 CrossFit Games is a three-day ticket that includes access to all on-campus events throughout the day and a reserved seat inside MVP Arena. Tickets, after fees and before taxes, range from $323 to $794 per seat.
The blue dots in the seating chart below reflect all of the available seats as of 2:00pm Eastern Time on April 2.
After one year in Ft. Worth, Texas, the CrossFit Games changed venues for 2025 and headed to the east coast for the first time in its 19-year history.
It is unclear if the move to Albany has played a factor in the low ticket sales, but in looking at flight options it very well could be. Albany International Airport is international in name only as it technically only has domestic flights connecting to 28 locations, mostly on the Eastern Seaboard.
The slow sales also come on the heels of the 2024 CrossFit Games and a steep decline in CrossFit Open participation last month.
The 2025 CrossFit Games will be held at the MVP Arena in Albany, New York, from August 1-3.
