This year when the prize purse was tied to Open registrations, the payouts for the Masters divisions were set at 10% of the total prize purse. As such, that meant the prize purse was set at just over $234,700 when all was said and done.
However, at the time of when the rulebook was published, the split between divisions was undisclosed. But heading into the Age Group CrossFit Games, the prize purse breakdown was sent to athletes competing and here is how the money was split…
35-39 Age Group Divisions
1st: $19,957
2nd: $8,217
3rd: $4,696
40-44, 45-49, 50-54 & 55-59 Age Group Divisions
1st: $8,217
2nd: $4,696
3rd: $2,935
60-64, 65-69 & 70+ Age Group Divisions
1st: $3,522
2nd: $2,348
3rd: $1,174
As for the teenagers, like previous years they were not eligible for a cash prize.
