The 2025 CrossFit Open kicks off in just 17 days. And we now know where the 25.1 live announcement will be held, plus who will be taking on the workout.
CrossFit Mayhem will host the first Open workout of 2025. Live from Cookeville, Tennessee, we will find out what 25.1 will be and then get to watch three (maybe four?) CrossFit Games veterans and Mayhem athletes take on the workout.
Austin Hatfield, Roman Khrennikov and Haley Adams will be the first athletes to take on 25.1 during the live Open announcement. But in the post on Instagram, it mentions a “special guest”.Â
Could that special guest be another athlete, likely a female athlete to go up against Haley? Or will it be someone else to, maybe, announce the workout?
What we do know is that Rory McKernan will host the Open announcement alongside Chase Ingraham.
It all goes down on Thursday, February 27 at 3pm Eastern, 12pm Pacific. The live announcement will be livestreamed on the CrossFit Games website and on the CrossFit Games YouTube channel.
