2025 CrossFit Open Will Include a Repeat Workout

We don’t know which week. We don’t know what the workout will be. But we do know that one of this year’s CrossFit Open workouts will be a repeat.

On Dave Castro’s Week in Review, he broke the news about the repeat workout. “We don’t typically give much information about the Open ahead of time,” shared Castro near the end of this 15-minute video. He continued, “This year we will have a repat in the Open. I don’t think we’ve ever put that out a month in advance.”

Years ago, repeat workouts became common when the Open was five weeks. However, with the switch to a three-week format, Dave (and Boz) have gone back and forth with bringing back an Open from years past.

The 2024 CrossFit Open did not feature a repeat workout. However, 23.1 was a repeat of 14.4. Now, in 2025 we will once again get to re-test ourselves and see how much our fitness has improved.

So the question is…what workout might we see repeated this year?
