After CrossFit, Inc. released much of its in-house media team last fall, it meant that there would not be a documentary for the 2018 CrossFit Games. But good news CrossFit fans! The Buttery Bros have been green-lighted to create a documentary of the 2019 CrossFit Games.
In Talking Elite Fitness’ Final Day Recap podcast, Heber Cannon said, “We’re making a movie. We’re excited to announce we’re making one for the 2019 season. CrossFit has been great enough to allow us to do that; they’ve given us a contract.”
And yesterday, the Buttery Bros shared a picture on Instagram of a contract with Gravitas Ventures, the same company that was used to distribute previous Games documentaries. Gravitas Ventures is one of the largest distributors of independent feature films and documentaries.

Throughout the week of the CrossFit Games, Marston Sawyers was on the floor of the CrossFit Games to capture footage. Sawyers was the only person on the floor not capturing footage for the World Feed.
To further solidify what is in the making, @nwr_productions on Instagram shared that he was hired by Buttery Bros to help with the creation of the documentary. In the caption, he says, “IT’S HAPPENING!”
So get ready, fam! It’s just a matter of time before we grab the popcorn!
