Camille Leblanc-Bazinet’s 2017 CrossFit Games ended after only two events on Thursday. Beginning the Run-Swim-Run event, Leblanc-Bazinet already had shoulder tape on, a sign that something was wrong.
She would take 18th on that first event and follow that up with a 33rd place finish on the Cyclocross event, but that would be the last time we would see the 2014 CrossFit Games champion this year. Leblanc-Bazinet withdrew from competition before taking on Amanda .45 in the Coliseum.
Leblanc-Bazinet shared on Instagram that she dislocated her shoulder and tore her labrum in training a few weeks ago and was hoping to be able to make it through the weekend, but after falling on her shoulder during the Cyclocross event she dislocated it once again.
Rather than risk injury, Leblanc-Bazinet decided to withdraw and focus on coming back for the 2018 season.
