It’s official. Carolyne Prevost has registered for the 2025 CrossFit Games. Prevost received a backfill spot vacated by Alex Gazan over the weekend.
Gazan earned her spot to the CrossFit Games winning the NorCal Classic. However, in the days after Gazan and her husband were in a serious car accident that broke her fibula.
Despite the injury, Gazan registered for the Games and was hopeful that she could heal in time to step onto the competition floor in Albany. This weekend, unfortunately, Gazan made the difficult decision to withdraw.
Because of this, Carolyne Prevost, who finished 3rd at NorCal, will the second qualifying spot from the In-Person Qualifying Event. Prevost will join 2nd place NorCal finisher Hattie Kanyo at the Games.

Prevost is now on the CrossFit Games leaderboard. Gazan is also still on the leaderboard, but will come off at some point.
Prevost will make her first return trip to the CrossFit Games since 2022. It will be her fourth time competing at the Games. Her best finish was 12th in 2019 during her rookie debut.
