[Update: her Instagram account was restored overnight.]
If you follow Cassidy Lance-McWherter on Instagram, you might have noticed her posts were not in your feed this afternoon. That is because her account was hacked and her account was deleted.
Her account, if you can even pull it up, says it has been deleted and all images have been removed.
We notified Lance-McWherter after we saw her account was deleted to see if it had indeed been hacked. She was unaware that it had been hacked but was receiving emails from friends telling her about the situation.
This comes just a month after Margaux Alvarez’s Instagram account was hacked. The hacker in that situation slowly deleted photos until Instagram was able to return the account back to Alvarez.
This time, however, the hacker just deleted Lance-McWherter’s entire account all at once. All of this comes just one week out from the start of the 2018 CrossFit Games.
