CrossFit published its list of athletes who were tested as part of CrossFit’s out-of-competition drug testing program this off-season. In total, 19 athletes from the 2024 CrossFit Games were tested and all results came back negative.
The testing was conducted by Drug Free Sport International and samples were analyzed at the UCLA Olympic Analytical Laboratory or the the Sports Medicine Research Testing Laboratory. All of the samples were screened for the full WADA Out-of-Competition Testing Panel.
Here is the list of athletes who were tested:
- Haley Adams
- Danielle Brandon
- Bethany Flores
- Ricky Garard
- Alex Gazan
- Austin Hatfield
- Jayson Hopper
- Roman Khrennikov
- Sam Kwant
- Justin Medeiros
- Saxon Panchik
- Dallin Pepper
- Alexis Raptis
- Emily Rolfe
- Paige Semenza
- James Sprague
- Maddie Sturt
- Tia-Clair Toomey-Orr
- Brooke Wells
The off-season testing protocol is similar to previous years. And in previous off-season testing, no athletes tested positive for banned substances.
It does appear that additional athletes outside of these 19 may have also been tested. Masters athlete Jason Grubb recently shared that he was drug tested as part of CrossFit’s anti-doping program. It is unclear if any other athletes may have been tested along with Grubb.
Many of these athletes were also recently drug tested as part of the World Fitness Project’s drug testing program. The WFP also utilizes Drug Free Sport International for its testing. Results of those tests have not yet been published.
