CrossFit has published its list of athletes who received an out-of-competition drug test at some point during 2023. It is the third update on its 2023 out-of-competition drug testing. In total, CrossFit conducted an out-of-competition drug test on 26 athletes last year, all of which came back negative.
Out of the 26 athletes tested, all had competed at the 2023 CrossFit Games except two – Mal O’Brien and Tia-Clair Toomey-Orr. This number, 26, is down from the 30 athletes who were tested out-of-competition in 2022.
While the exact timing is not disclosed, 13 athletes were added to the list since we reported on this back on November 6, 2023.Â
All samples were collected by Drug Free Sport International and analyzed at the UCLA Olympic Analytical Laboratory or the Sports Medicine Research and Testing Laboratory. The full WADA (World Anti-Doping Agency) out-of-competition testing panel for prohibited substances was tested.
