Two more invites have been handed out for the upcoming CrossFit Filthy 150. Sam Briggs and James Newbury were announced over the weekend as two more CrossFit Games veterans to receive the wildcard invites.
Briggs and Newbury join Kristin Holte and Dan Bailey to receive invites to compete at the first Sanctional of the 2020 season. CrossFit Filthy 150 has six individual men, six individual women and four team wildcard invites to fill out its Sanctional field.
So far, two men and women have received an invite. No team wildcard invites have been announced yet.
Last year Sam Briggs won the two Sanctional events, the Dubai CrossFit Championship and the Australian CrossFit Championship. On top of that, Briggs was also crowned the U.K. National Champion while finishing 20th overall in the worldwide Open leaderboard. Briggs finished 18th at the 2019 CrossFit Games.

Newbury is also coming off a great season. Newbury won the Australian CrossFit Championship to earn an invite to the CrossFit Games. From there, Newbury had his best Games finish in his 4th year competing where he finished 5th overall.

The CrossFit Filthy 150 takes place in Dublin, Ireland on November 22-24.
