This morning the women’s field of the Mayhem Classic changed once again. This time, just five days out from the start of the first In-Person Qualifying Event of the 2025 CrossFit Games season, Danielle Brandon and Brooke Wells have withdrawn from the competition.
Brandon and Wells were expected to be in contention for the two qualifying spots up for grabs alongside other CrossFit Games veterans Alexis Raptis, Emily Rolfe, Abigail Domit, Paige Semenza, Haley Adams and Fee Saghafi.
Unlike previous withdrawals, Mayhem will not backfill their spots as the competition is just days away. Thus, there will only be 18 women on the competition floor with 16 able to qualify for the CrossFit Games (Paige Powers and Victoria Campos did not finish in the top 1% of the Open and are ineligible to receive an invite).
The Mayhem Classic begins Saturday, April 5. The top 2 men and top 2 women will receive an invite to the 2025 CrossFit Games. In addition, the top 10 athletes will receive a portion of the $81,500 prize purse.
