It all started with a tweet on X…
That was yesterday.
Today, CrossFit revealed details on the Hustle Up Last Chance Qualifier.
Who’s Eligible?
The top 50 non-Games qualifying athletes from the Individual In-Affiliate Semifinals and the top 10 non-Games qualifying athletes from each of the In-Person Qualifying Events.
So basically 12th-61st from the In-Affiliate Semifinals and 3rd-12th in the IPQEs. The one caveat to that is backfills. For example, the French Throwdown last weekend took 2nd and 3rd place between Fiebig had already qualified and Fuliano was not eligible.
LCQ Structure
The LCQ is going to be similarly structured to that of the In-Affiliate Semifinals. Five days to complete five workouts.
Like the In-Affiliate Semifinals, athletes will need to complete the workouts inside a CrossFit affiliate in good standing, have a head judge and a registered floor judge with all the same credentials as In-Affiliate Semifinals. And all workout submissions must include the score and a publicly viewable video on YouTube.
The top male and female will receive the 30th and final invite to compete at the 2025 CrossFit Games.
When
The LCQ workouts will be revealed on Wednesday, June 11. Athletes will have from Thursday, June 12, through Monday, June 16, to complete the workouts and submit scores.
How to Register
Eligible athletes will receive an official invite from Hustle Up via email. Athletes will register via the Hustle Up app.
What about the Community Cup?
The LCQ runs in parallel with the new Community Cup. The Community Cup runs from June 9-15. It is only three workouts.
Both competitions will feature workouts submitted by affiliate owners. I would not be surprised if three of the five LCQ workouts align with the three Community Cup workouts.
