The 2024 CrossFit Open has been finalized. After reviewing videos from athletes at the top of the worldwide leaderboard, CrossFit has handed out one scoring adjustment that impacts the top 5 women. Grace Walton’s 24.3 score was adjusted 10 seconds, moving her from 1st overall down to 2nd place.
Walton, who was unofficially sitting atop the women’s worldwide leaderboard, had posted a time of 9:32 for the final workout of the 2024 Open. However, upon video review CrossFit adjusted her score for two reps in which her feet rose above the height of the bar during the bar muscle-ups, dropping her down 10 seconds to 9:42. That adjustment was enough for Mirjam von Rohr to take the top overall spot on the women’s leaderboard.
Walton was the only athlete in the top 5 of either the men or women to incur a scoring adjustment from the final video review. The official top 5 men and women will receive part of the Open prize purse.
