It has been several months since CrossFit HQ announced several penalties after reviewing the CrossFit Open video submissions. One of the athletes caught up in the penalties was Jadzia Truszkowski. After 19.5, Truszkowski was 19th in the world on the global leaderboard.
That finish would have been good enough to secure one of the Top 20 qualifying spots to compete at the 2019 CrossFit Games. However, CrossFit HQ subsequently penalized 49 reps due to not meeting wall ball movement standards. The penalty knocked Truszkowski down to 381st worldwide, thereby eliminating her from an invite to the CrossFit Games.
Truszkowski sat down with NOVA3 Labs recently to share her side of the story and how she has dealt with the news of having to wait another year to make a run at the CrossFit Games. Check out the video below.

Truszkowski would attempt to qualify via the CrossFit Granite Games, but finished 9th overall. She also competed on “We The North” at the Mid-Atlantic CrossFit Challenge. The team finished 6th.
