Jonne Koski has already (unofficially) secured his ticket to compete at the 2020 CrossFit Games, but Koski was ready to compete at the first Sanctional of the season, the CrossFit Filthy 150. That is until Koski came down with food poisoning.
On Thursday, the day before the start of the competition, Koski became ill. Rather than trying to push through it, Koski decided to withdraw and focus on his health.
He will now turn his focus on his next Sanctional, the Dubai CrossFit Championship in December.
Koski finished 12th in the world in the 2020 CrossFit Open. He is also in 1st place on Finland’s national leaderboard. Once 20.5 videos are reviewed, Koski will qualify for his 6th CrossFit Games.
Koski finished 37th at the 2019 CrossFit Games.
