When Dave Castro announced the change to the team format for the 2018 CrossFit Games season, it created some mayhem in Cookeville. Just a week earlier, Rich Froning and crew announced that Tasia Percevecz was replacing Kristin Reffett.
Froning responded by hinting that the Mayhem crew was going to field two four-person teams named Team Freedom and Team Independence. However, with only six announced athletes it still left a question of who the 7th and 8th members would be.
Well, it appears that the 7th athlete is Kristin Miller. Miller competed on CrossFit OC3’s CrossFit Games team this past year that placed 9th overall. Prior to last year, Miller has competed as an individual at the Central Regional. Her best finish was 11th in 2015.
That means we are left wondering who the final male athlete is. Mayhem may be waiting to see how the 2018 season plays out. Dre Strohm and Angelo Dicicco are both candidates depending on how they do individually.
