Meg Reardon Decides to Go Individual

Meg Reardon earned an individual invite to the CrossFit Games after winning the Mid-Atlantic CrossFit Challenge in April. And then last weekend, Reardon joined Invictus Boston at the French Throwdown. Invictus Boston won the final Sanctional of the year, earning an invite to Games.

That left Reardon with the decision of going to the CrossFit Games as an individual or on a team. Reardon made her decision over the weekend and has elected to compete as an individual.

“While it wasn’t the easiest decision to make, I ultimately chose that I needed to put my fitness to the test and compete as an individual at the 2019 CrossFit Games,” said Reardon in an Instagram post.

Reardon finished 97th in the CrossFit Open and is ranked 44th entering the Games.

As for Invictus Boston, Kelsey Kiel, Tola Morakinyo and Craig Kenney now have the task of finding another female to take the place of Reardon. In Kiel’s Instagram stories this weekend, Stephanie Chung was seen working out with the team. Chung currently lives in the Boston area and would be a good fit for the team.
