Melissa Herman finished 10th overall at the CrossFit French Throwdown last weekend. Herman was looking to earn a trip to the CrossFit Games via the final Sanctional of the season after her Open score penalty knocked her out of the Top 20 worldwide.
Herman was near the top of the leaderboard all weekend long and in contention until the last event. Throughout all of the events, Herman unknowingly was competing with a ruptured oblique muscle and a major case of rhabdo!
Herman was unable to complete more than one toes-to-bar on the final event and ended up in the hospital following the competition. It appears Herman is now doing better, but unfortunately her 2019 CrossFit Games season has come to a close.
