Reason-Thibault/Prevost and McLeod/Porter Set to Square Off for 20.2 Announcement

It’s Thursday. That means it is time for the CrossFit Open 20.2 live announcement. This time around the CrossFit Atlas Games and Australian CrossFit Championship will host the workout reveal followed by some of the top athletes in the world going head-to-head.

In Canada, Carolyne Prevost and Carol-Ann Reason-Thibault will take on 20.2 at CrossFit St-Jean near Montreal. After Week 1, Prevost and Reason-Thibault are separated by just one second on the leaderboard. Prevost’s time of 8:30 was good enough for 7th in the world while Reason-Thibault finished just one second slower at 8:31, putting her in 9th worldwide.

Around the world, the Australian CrossFit Championship will host Matt McLeod and Khan Porter throwing down to kick off 20.2. McLeod made a name for himself two months ago at the 2019 CrossFit Games when he broke into the top 10 and finished 7th overall in his rookie debut. Porter is one of Australia’s most popular CrossFit athletes and has competed as an individual at the Games four times and was on team Project X at last year’s Games.

McLeod sits in 40th worldwide after 20.1 while Porter is in 62nd.

Both live announcements will be streamed and can be found on games.crossfit.com. The live announcements will be made at 5pm Pacific Time.
