The Syndicate Crown will once again be a path to the CrossFit Games. This year, as an In-Person Qualifying Event, the Syndicate Crown will qualify two men and two women to the 2025 CrossFit Games. To compete at Syndicate Crown, however, that process will be a little bit different.
Let’s take a look…
ELIGIBILITY
The Syndicate Crown (along with TFX) will limit eligibility to athletes in North America. Following the same geographic boundaries used in the 2024 CrossFit Games season, only athletes in “North America East” will be eligible to compete at the 2025 Syndicate Crown. Likewise, TFX will limit its field to athletes out of “North America West”.
The geographic location will be based on the competition region shown on their CrossFit Games profile.
Those requests will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis by the Syndicate Crown team.
Athletes must also register for the 2025 CrossFit Open and finish in the top 1% worldwide. In other words, all athletes must qualify for the In-Affiliate Semifinals.
HOW TO QUALIFY FOR SYNDICATE CROWN
There are two ways to qualify for the 30-athlete field.
CrossFit Open
The top 20 athletes in the North America East region of the 2025 CrossFit Open will receive an invite to compete at Syndicate Crown.
In-Affiliate Semifinal
Once the leaderboard for the In-Affiliate Semifinals has been finalized by CrossFit, Syndicate Crown will invite 10 athletes “below the cut line”.
That is, athletes who qualify directly to the CrossFit Games via the In-Affiliate Semifinals will not be invited to compete at Syndicate Crown. The first ten athletes who failed to qualify for the Games from the North America East region will be invited to compete at Syndicate Crown.
Backfill Process
Should athletes who qualified via the CrossFit Open end up qualifying for the CrossFit Games via the In-Affiliate Semifinals or an athlete declines an invite, Syndicate Crown reserves the right to backfill those spots.
SYNDICATE CROWN FIELD
A minimum of 30 men and 30 women will compete in the elite individual field at Syndicate Crown. The top 2 men and top 2 women will earn an invitation to compete at the 2025 CrossFit Games.
TEAM COMPETITION
While teams will earn a spot at the CrossFit Games via the In-Affiliate Semifinals, Syndicate Crown is hosting a team competition alongside the elite individuals.
There will be three divisions – Elite, Quarters and Open.
The Elite Team division is intended to provide teams who have either qualified for the CrossFit Games already or those who want to fine tune their teamwork against some of the best teams in the region.
The Elite Team division will be open to teams who finished in the Top 1% of the CrossFit Open and reside in the North America East region. There are spots for 30 teams in the Elite Team division at Syndicate Crown.
Quarters & Open Divisions
Think of Quarters and Open divisions as RX and Intermediate skill levels. The Quarters division is for athletes who have capacity to qualify and compete the CrossFit Quarterfinals in previous years. The Open division is for athletes who participate in the CrossFit Open and can complete the workouts as prescribed.
Registration for these team divisions will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. Additionally, there are no geographic restrictions to enter these divisions.
