We have been (patiently) waiting for news of the “in-person qualifying events” following the announced changes to the 2025 CrossFit Games season last month. First, I’m calling them Sanctionals because in-person qualifying events is ridiculous. Second, Torian Pro is officially one of the Sanctionals.
The Torian Pro website was recently updated and now includes information about the 2025 competition.
The 2025 Torian Pro will once again be held in the Pat Rafter Arena in Brisbane, Queensland, on May 30 through June 1.
Below that, the website reads:
“Get ready for three electrifying days of world-class competition as the best CrossFit athletes battle it out for a coveted spot at the CrossFit Games and we crown the Fittest in Oceania!”

Athletes will be competing for a spot to the 2025 CrossFit Games.

The Torian Pro website also provides details on how it will work for athletes looking to compete and qualify for the CrossFit Games.
Online Qualifier
There will be a separate online qualifier to earn a spot at Torian Pro. The Torian Pro online qualifier will take place over four weeks and will utilize the first three weeks of the 2025 CrossFit Open and then will add fourth workout to conclude the qualifier.
So essentially the online qualifier will consist of the three Open workouts plus one unique workout programmed by Torian. All four workouts will determine who qualifies to compete at the Torian Pro.
Athletes will have to register for the online qualifier via Competition Corner (not yet set up) and submit scores to both the CrossFit Games leaderboard and on Competition Corner.
Eligibility
Athletes from anywhere in the world can register for and attempt to qualify for the Torian Pro.
In-Person Competition
The top 30 men and 30 women will earn invitations to compete in-person at Torian Pro.
Invitations will be sent via Competition Corner by March 31 and athletes will have two days to confirm their participation.
Special Invites
Previous Torian Pro champions will receive automatic invitations to compete and will not be required to participate in the online qualifier.
Additionally, Torian Pro reserves the right to invite additional athletes based on “standout performances in the CrossFit Games In-Affiliate Semifinals”. So even if an athlete does not participate in the online qualifier (or misses out), they could be invited by organizes.
With the special invites, there will be 30 men and 30 women plus special invites.
CrossFit Games Qualification
The top 2 men and top 2 women (who are not already eligible) will earn an invite to the 2025 CrossFit Games.
This appears it will work very similar to the 2019 and 2020 Sanctional format where if an athlete had already qualified (via the Open back then), the next athlete in line would earn the invite.
For 2025, 15-20 athletes will earn an invite via the In-Affiliate Semifinals. Should one of those athletes compete at Torian Pro and finish in the top 2, that invite would then go to the athlete who finished in 3rd place.
SPECTATOR TICKETS
Spectator tickets will go on sale in February.
