Watch Jeff Adler’s Do 20.4 in Just 12:41

Jeff Adler is having a pretty good Open. With two 6th place finishes in the first three weeks of the 2020 CrossFit Open, Adler took it to the next level on 20.4. In a workout featuring a heaving barbell (315-pound clean and jerks to finish the workout), Adler crushed the competition on his way to completing the workout in 12:41.

To put his time into perspective, he beat the 2nd fastest male by 1:41. Oh yeah, that person who finished 2nd was Mat Fraser!

Throughout the workout, Adler remained in control and smooth throughout the movements. He reached the final barbell at 10:41. After a quick pause to chalk up, Adler was back on the barbell when he simply power cleaned and push jerked all them them.

With one workout remaining, Adler sits in 3rd place overall. He is only behind Lefteris Theofanidis and Mat Fraser on the leaderboard. He is in 1st place on the Canadian leaderboard, but just barely. Pat Vellner is in 4th place in the world and just 5 points behind on the Canadian leaderboard. Adler has, however, beaten Vellner on the last three workouts.

Adler is just one Open workout away from punching his second consecutive ticket to the CrossFit Games. Adler qualified for the 2019 CrossFit Games via the “Top 20”. He would finish 33rd at the Games.
