In the past, CrossFit has released a documentary of the last CrossFit Games in the weeks leading up to current year’s Games. This year, however, distribution issues caused the release to be delayed. Titled “Fittest on Earth: Final Showdown in Madtown”, the 2023 CrossFit Games documentary is now scheduled to be released on September 3, 2024, according to Swank Motion Pictures.
The show description about the documentary reads:
“Dive into the expansive ecosystem that is the 2023 CrossFit Games, where a diverse group of elite athletes compete for the coveted title of “Fittest Man/Woman on Earth.” Granted exclusive access with key characters as they experience exhilarating highs and devastating lows, this documentary amplifies the connection between each competitor’s intense, personal journey, and their breathtaking feats of pure, unadulterated athleticism.”

The 99-minute documentary is available for pre-order on iTunes for $14.99. It is unknown if it will be distributed on other platforms.
The trailer and release of the documentary comes at a difficult time for the CrossFit community following the tragic death of Lazar Djukic during the first event of the 2024 CrossFit Games.
