Ava’s Kitchen Benefit 2023 to Raise Money for Families Impacted by Pediatric Cancer

Jason Khalipa’s daughter, Ava, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia seven years ago on January 20, 2016. When the 2008 CrossFit Games champion shared the news back then, the CrossFit community rallied behind Ava and her family. Luckily, the type of leukemia had a very high cure rate and Ava successfully worked through chemotherapy.

Jason and his wife, Ashley, have since made it their mission to help other families who have been impacted by pediatric cancer. The couple created the non-profit Ava’s Kitchen as a way to raise money to help those in need.

Ava’s Kitchen partnered with Erik Rees and NEGU, another foundation helping children and their families navigate through pediatric cancer. Since Ava’s Kitchen and NEGU partnered together, they have raised over $1 million to create programs to help families battling pediatric cancer.

Next month, Ava’s Kitchen Benefit will be on February 18, 2023 in San Jose, California. Hosted at the Corinthian Grand Ballroom, the dinner will be prepared by award winning chefs including Michael Mina, Adam Sobel, Mei Lin and Christian Petroni. If you are near San Jose or want to travel to attend, you can make your reservations here. And even if you can’t make it, but want to donate there is an option to do so here.
