Brittany Chestnutt narrowly missed qualifying for the CrossFit Games in 2014 and 2016. This past year she joined Team EaDo Elite Blue. The team finished 6th at the South Regional.
Two months ago Chestnutt won the Women’s Pro Division at the Granite Games. Chestnutt did this with two torn ulnar collateral ligaments (UCL) in her elbows. She tore both of her UCLs racking the bar on her back after an overhead squat in July.
In order to relieve the pain and continue with her plans to compete in the 2018 CrossFit Games season, Chestnutt received stem cell injections mixed with PRP (platelet-rich plasma) to reduce the inflammation and allow her body to heal her UCLs.
If successful, the procedure will have Chestnutt healthy enough to give it another run in 2018.
