CrossFit Simpsonville Raising Money for Affiliates Impacted by Hurricane Helene with ‘Calories for the Carolinas’

Gordon Lake and his gym, CrossFit Simpsonville, are hosting the Calories for the Carolinas fundraiser to raise money for CrossFit affiliates that were impacted by Hurricane Helene. The goal is to raise $25,000 by November 15.

Then on November 16, CrossFit Simpsonville will run a class where those attending will complete as many calories as dollars donated on the “machine of their choice”.

Other gyms have also joined in on the fundraiser, including J.R. Howell’s CrossFit CRASH and CrossFit Greer.

Those who are interested in donating, you can scan the QR code in Gordon Lake’s Instagram post below or donate via Venmo (@Gordon-Lake-2). Almost $1,100 have donated within the first 24 hours of launching the fundraiser.

Gordon Lake is the founder and co-owner of CrossFit Simpsonville. He is also the co-owner and coach of Apex Performance Collective, co-owner of Local Comp (the leaderboard used by CRASH Crucible) and the CrossFit affiliate rep for the U.S. South East region.
