If you have been following some of the top athletes who are with TYR, you might have noticed they are all down in Austin, Texas, this week. The reason appears that they are working on the upcoming launch of the new TYR CXT-3 Trainers.
In an Instagram story posted by Rachel Martinez, TYR Athlete Management, she shows a photo/video shoot of Dallin Pepper.
In the video above it appears that Dallin is wearing at least a new colorway, but most likely the newest iteration of the CXT training line.
It has been over 18 months since the current CXT-2 trainer was released in June 2024. It would make sense that the CXT-3 is coming soon.
Then Dallin made an Instagram post yesterday afternoon wearing what appears to be the same shoes as the photoshoot above. The five-video carousel also gives a better view of the side profile of the shoe and it is definitely different than the CXT-2.
Now, compare that to the CXT-2 trainer below…
As you can see, the sole and midsole have a different pattern running along the shoe.
In the videos, Dallin is doing power clean and jerks, box jumps, front squats and some accessory movements…presumably testing them out.
As for when the new TYR CXT-3 trainers might be released, that’s still TBD.
