Less than two weeks after tearing her Achilles at the 2024 Rogue Invitational, Gabi Migala has undergone surgery to begin the road to recovery.
Migala was in 2nd place on Saturday of the Rogue Invitational when she stopped mid-event during the Duel IV. Migala injured herself while rebounding on the “hay bale get-overs”.
She would withdraw from the competition. Shortly thereafter Henrik Haapalainen also tore his Achilles on the same implement.
Migala also spoke on Instagram stories about her nerves heading into the surgery, but that she is now fixed and is looking forward to rehab…
Rogue officials changed the movement standard to burpee get-overs following Haapalainen’s injury.
