One of the most popular CrossFit training programs is branching out beyond the functional fitness crowd. Beginning January 9, HWPO is launching HWPO Golf, a program designed specifically “for any level golfer looking to increase overall health all while improving your abilities on the golf course.”
Listed as coming soon on the HWPO website, HWPO Golf is adding professional PGA golfer, Scott Stallings, to the HWPO training staff. Stallings turned PGA pro in 2007 and has played in 321 PGA Tour events and has three career wins.
Stallings, along with CrossFit Games veteran Justin Ahrens, have designed HWPO Golf with Mat Fraser. The golf-specific program is aimed at improving strength, power, speed and rotational-flexibility – something that is critical for an efficient golf swing.
The daily workouts last 30-45 minutes with built-in warm-ups and cool-downs. Like CrossFit workouts, the programming is highly scalable and adaptable to all levels of athletes and requires minimal equipment (dumbbells, kettlebells, medicine balls, box/bench, bands and at least one cardio-driven machine like a rower or assault bike).
If interested, you can sign up to “register interest”…that is, you’ll get notified when the official registration goes live on January 1, 2023. From there, daily programming begins on January 9. The cost of the program is $40 per month.
