Is Tia-Clair Toomey Moving to Cookeville?

Tia-Clair Toomey just won her second consecutive CrossFit Games title, but the bigger news is where the Aussie might be training in 2019. During the CrossFit Games Update Show on the team competition, Sean Woodland reported that Toomey will be moving to Cookeville, Tennessee, for the 2019 CrossFit Games season.

In a graphic on the update show, Toomey was shown to be training out of Cookeville for 2019. Rory McKernan, when talking about top athletes training out of Cookeville, did leave the door open that Toomey might not be moving. However, the fact that CrossFit mentioned this means it is almost certainly in the plans for Toomey and her husband, Shane Orr.

Toomey is not a stranger to Cookeville. The past two seasons Toomey has visited Cookeville in the weeks leading up to the CrossFit Games to train with Rich Froning and crew. Last year Toomey was with a bunch of athletes who visited the Fitness Capital of the World. This past year Toomey visited again albeit in a quieter setting.

If Toomey does make the move, there will be a total of 9 Fittest on Earth Titles in one city (Froning with 4, Fraser with 3 and Toomey with 2).
