J.R. Howell Set to Launch “WPTH” Affiliate Programming

J.R. Howell is the owner of CrossFit CRASH. He is also the man behind CRASH Crucible and CRASH Crescendo, two competitions that are highly respected and used by individual athletes and teams, respectively, to gauge where they are with respect to CrossFit Games level programming and competition.

Howell already puts out the daily programming of CrossFit CRASH on Instagram for free every day “so that people can see them from within the gym but also people from anywhere else can see them.” And that programming has been used by some big names in the CrossFit space, including Arielle Loewen.

During her last visit to THE SPIN, Loewen shared that she had recently been picking an occasional workout from CRASH after the Games.

So what does “WPTH” stand for?

It’s an inside joke between Howell and his wife and it’s short for “We Prefer The Hate”. Howell explains, “The more hate you have, the more animosity you have coming at you it’s probably because you are doing something good that people are jealous of.”

So WPTH is what drive Howell every day to make CrossFit CRASH and his competitions better.

And Howell will apply that to his upcoming  affiliate programming, WPTH. Coming January 1, 2025.
