Jacob Heppner made it back to the CrossFit Games in 2019.
In January, Heppner and Andrew Kuechler started Midwest Made. The company offered online programming based on what Heppner does day in and day out. On top of starting this new venture, Heppner is trying to balance other numerous commitments:
- Training for and competing in the CrossFit Open
- Running a YouTube channel
- Spending time with his wife/family
- Working his full-time corporate job
After talking with Brent Fikowski and Cole Sager, both of which made similar life changing decision recently, and his wife/family, Heppner made the tough decision to resign from his corporate job to focus on his other endeavors.
Heppner quit his corporate job in June, giving him two months to focus on his CrossFit Games training, Midwest Made and his YouTube channel. Heppner finished 6th overall at the 2019 CrossFit Games.
By dropping his corporate job, Heppner can now shift his focus on his own business ventures as well as have the ability to travel to Sanctionals this upcoming season. Check out Heppner’s full explanation on why he quit…
