Jay DeCoons joined CrossFit in October 2023 as Vice President, Global Affiliates and Operations. He was met with skepticism, thanks to Andrew Hiller, from the CrossFit community when it was revealed that he made a comment earlier in his career that CrossFit was unsafe.
DeCoons, however, weathered the storm and became a community favorite, also thanks to Hiller. “Oh well” became a colloquialism within the CrossFit space.
Now, three years later he is exiting CrossFit HQ. Today, his last day at HQ, DeCoons thanked the affiliate owners and the community for his time working for CrossFit.
DeCoons’ role will be filled by Ollie Mansbridge on an interim basis.
