Katrin Davidsdottir Set to Retire After 10 CrossFit Games Appearances

Katrin Davidsdottir qualified for the CrossFit Games 10 times, including winning the Games twice, in 2015 and 2016. Now, after sitting out the 2024 CrossFit Games season due to a back injury, Davidsdottir is retiring from the sport.

In a video published on the Talking Elite Fitness YouTube channel early this morning, co-host Tommy Marquez shares that he had a conversation with Katrin Davidsdottir recently. He then revealed that Davidsdottir is retiring.

Lauren Kalil responded that she aware of this news because Preslie Hirsch, Media Director of HWPO (the same training camp Davidsdottir was in), shared it with her when the two were together last week.

The couple just returned from Indonesia as part of a planned adventure with World Playground, a company he founded.

It appears that the clip was accidentally not removed from the published version. Near the end of the clip above, Sean Woodland appears to officially begin the show with a 3,2,1 countdown.

The episode on YouTube has since been removed.

The audio-only version remains on YouTube and podcast platforms. Although that clip was removed from those versions.
