The 2019 ESPN ‘Body Issue’ has been released online today. For the first time ever CrossFit has been represented in the annual publication. Two-time CrossFit Games champion Katrin Davidsdottir is featured in this year’s issue.
In the online gallery, Davidsdottir is pictured nude, but strategically covered up. The photoshoot takes in the rough terrain of Iceland. From a handstand hold to lifting a barbell overhead, the photos show off Davidsdottir’s physique.
In describing her physique, Davidsdottir said, “I’m so proud of every single muscle of my body. I had to work for it. I had to earn that. They don’t just show up.”
For the ‘Body Issue’, ESPN spent time with Davidsdottir and her family for an in-depth article. The full article can be read here.
